What is head pressing in dogs and cats?

Thought I would share this blog on “head pressing” in dogs and cats. This odd behavior can be a sign of serious illness in your pet.

  1. I did not know it at the time, but when my family lost Misty before she turned 5 years old (2001), she started exhibiting this behavior I think, and very quickly it turned into seizures and despite rushing her to an emergency hospital, she died overnight. I will always wonder what caused it, but I think now it was the ‘safe’ spraying we had done professionally for bugs. I believe the powder left behind got ingested when she groomed herself and took her away from us too soon.
